Cores & Surfaces

What we work with.

Every DKAFRU door is built from a stable core and finished with a real surface — not a printed image of one.

Solid wood option
Solid Wood

Hardwood throughout

Solid wood doors are produced from selected hardwood species — typically oak, walnut, ash, or sapele — built up from properly dried and dimensioned stock. Suitable for projects where a true solid feel is required and where the surrounding interior is climate-controlled.

Engineered core
Engineered Wood

Stable cores, calm faces

Engineered constructions combine a stable internal core with a real wood face. The result is a door that resists warping in changing humidity, with the appearance and weight of a fine wooden door.

How to Choose

Choosing the right finish for your interior.

Finish selection is a question of light, contact, and surrounding materials. A door under strong daylight reveals texture differently than one in a softly lit corridor. A door in a family kitchen is touched more often than one in a guest bedroom. A door beside oak flooring should not fight with the floor — it should sit beside it.

We work through these choices in conversation. Where helpful, we prepare physical finish samples so the surface you sign off is the surface you receive. There are no hidden surprises between the brief and the installed door.
